Introducing Hero Alerts (Beta): the stores and operators most worth investigating
Overview We've launched Hero Alerts in beta on the Transpeye Platform. Hero Alerts surfaces the handful of stores and checkout operators most worth a closer look, ranked by risk and compared against the rest of your estate — so instead of scanning every site by hand, you get a prioritised, colour-coded view of where loss and policy risk are concentrated, and a one-click path from a signal to an investigation. Why we built it Loss and risk rarely announce themselves. They hide in small percentages spread across many sites. One store's refund rate can look unremarkable on its own but stand out sharply next to its peers. Hero Alerts calculates a curated set of risk metrics for every store and operator, normalises them — shown per 100 transactions or as a percentage of sales, so a small site and a large flagship compare fairly — then scores each one against the estate and the previous period. How it works Hero Alerts lives under the Analytics menu and opens on the Alerts tab, highest-severity signals first, so you act on the worst risk before anything else:A summary strip shows how many Critical, High, Medium and Low alerts exist right now; click any severity to filter the list. Metrics are normalised so estates of mixed store sizes compare fairly. Each alert is built on the same A-EYE™ exception-reporting engine that powers the rest of the platform, so a flagged signal links straight to the underlying transactions and video. This extends the Unified Risk View from "what happened" to "where should I look first" — pointing your analysts and managed-service team at the highest-value risk across the whole estate. Availability Hero Alerts is currently in beta. It appears under the Analytics menu for accounts where the feature has been enabled, marked with a Beta tag. Behaviour and metrics may change as we act on customer feedback. If you'd like early access, talk to your Transpeye contact or book a demo.
Hikvision announces technology partnership with Transpeye for retail loss prevention
Overview Hikvision, the IoT solution provider with video technology at its core, has announced a technology partnership with Transpeye to deliver a video-first approach to risk management in retail. The collaboration brings Hikvision's smart devices — cameras, NVRs and alarm products — together with the Transpeye Platform so that retailers can see risk across their estate in one place. Why this partnership matters Most retail security estates grow one system at a time: an EPOS feed here, a CCTV recorder there, an alarm panel and an access-control reader bolted on later. Each works in isolation, and the picture of risk stays fragmented. The partnership addresses that directly by merging device data from multiple Hikvision sources into a single, secure cloud platform — the Unified Risk View — where both malicious and compliance-based risks surface together."We strive to use innovation to drive security and sustainable growth, and combining our expertise with those of like-minded partners allows us to bring smart solutions to an even wider audience." — Sawyer Tao, Partner Alliance and Solution Manager, Hikvision UK & IrelandWhat the integration delivers By connecting Hikvision devices through Hik-ProConnect into the Transpeye Platform, retailers gain a single operational toolkit rather than a stack of disconnected products:Alarm notifications for unexpected arm and disarm patterns Smart shelf monitoring for high-risk products EPOS-based fraud detection for both internal and external risk Simplified device onboarding via Hik-ProConnect Remote, batch alarm management through cloud connectivityThe A-EYE™ exception-reporting engine applies your policy rules to that combined feed, flags the exceptions that matter, and links each one to the relevant video evidence — so a flagged transaction is three clicks from the moment it happened."This partnership has revolutionised deployment for video, creating the ultimate risk management solution." — Karl Jordan, Director, TranspeyeA cloud-first foundation The integration is delivered through secure AWS cloud infrastructure, in keeping with Transpeye's Cyber First principle — treating data and video security as a priority from design through to deployment. Retailers can connect existing Hikvision estates without ripping out invested equipment, extending the value of hardware they already own.
